I haven’t been to this place in years and decided to stop by today. I received a 45 minute message from a lady. The massage was mediocre as she did not massage my legs and feet at all. What really made me never want to come back again is her unprofessional response to giving her a $7 tip. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Disgusting treatment after a somewhat relaxing massage was disappointing.
I hadn’t visited Zen Wellness in almost 2 years and was glad to see it was still in Fair Oaks Mall. Unfortunately all the staff has changed and my massage was no where near the quality I was used to. It was painful and actually gave me a headache so I left in worse shape than I arrived. I didn’t get his name but the guy I had definitely seemed inexperienced. He did not have good technique with his hands and mostly used his elbows the entire time. It’s sad I really liked this place but I won’t be going back.
Got a massage here and asked for Chuck but the guy told me chuck wasn't available. I said fine I'll do it with you. I initially chose a 20 min massage and then upgraded to a 40 minute massage and when I came to pay I tipped but the guy, he got angry and had the boldness to tell me the tip is not enough and next time I must tip more.
Came in with tension headache & asked for 40 minutes focused solely on neck, shoulders & upper back after explaining my pain. I had to ask the woman to increase pressure during the massage, which she did a little, but still not enough, and she commented my muscles were very tight (yes, that's why I'm here). Got up feeling the same as when I walked in. I paid $45 for the same massage quality my 6 year old son does. Decided to leave $6 tip for poor quality & was shocked when she insisted I give her $9 for 20%. I had to explain a tip is based on level of service & is at the customer's discretion. I always tip in accordance with my level of service and seeing as I didn't feel any better, was not going to just give 20%, same as I don't at a restaurant with terrible service. I gave her $1 more and walked out. Will never return to this place with presumptuous staff.
I came in during my lunch break for a quick 30 minute massage and Chuck did an AMAZING job. I had taken a spill at home, screwing up my shoulder and left feeling completely better. You are in a private room, fully clothed and covered by a blanket- I highly recommend.
